The name goes back to his first real job out on his own — a deck and addition on a house down near the coast outside of Tillamook. A pelican kept showing up every morning and sitting on the lumber pile like it owned the place. His crew started calling it "the foreman." When it came time to file the LLC, nothing else felt right. Doesn't really mean anything. Just stuck.
